Re: factory vs aftermrkt scope - how much better in low light

Everyone's eyes see things differently than another's. The best way to tell is go to a retail outlet that sells lots of scopes. Look through a couple of scopes, one after the other. The best would be if you can carry them to a window that looks outside to a dim light area. Which one shows the best ...

Re: The perfect crossbow scope reticle

If the reticle in the scope Jeff found actually looked like the picture, it would indeed be a "perfect" crossbow reticle. A lighted Crossbones would tickle me to death! I haven't found it yet, tho.

For what it's worth... I can see my Leupold heavy duplex crosshairs until it's WAY to dark to shoot.

Re: The perfect crossbow scope reticle

The pic you have shown looks just like an illuminated Crossbones. That is not what the reticle looks like. You will be disappointed!!! I wanted a target turret on my scope as well, so I had planned to send it back to Leupold for this anyway. After I got the scope, I was just sick!!! because it was s...

Re: The perfect crossbow scope reticle

I thought the same thing about 3 years ago and bought one. MISTAKE!!!! The reticle does not look like the pic on the web or the pic on the end of the Leupold box. The dots are set for a flat shooting rifle. 2 min. apart at most. Worthless on a crossbow . I disliked the clutter so much I sent it back...

Re: Guardian ADF Screws

They are 8/32 . 1/4" long is too short, 3/8" long is too long. Try to find some 5/16" long and you are good to go.

One thing to keep in mind is that there is a difference between sharpening and keeping sharp. You can keep a sharp knife sharp for a long time without having to sharpen. If you let it go dull, you have to sharpen it which is time consuming. Keeping a blade sharp takes seconds. I use the Spyderco Ma...
