Re: 380 Matrix History

I smoothed and shaped my 380 riser as soon as I got it. That was 6 years and over 4,000+ Trouble-free shots ago.

Anthony :D
Some time back I tested so arrows Boo made that were identical except for 200s and 300s. The 300s were more accurate.

Re: Thinking of trying out new vanes.....suggestions?

The SKs are awesome vanes Anthony and if I remember correctly they were slightly more accurate than the Blazers...key word being slightly. I believe I only shot them out to 70 yards. The Flex Fletch vanes are hands down the most durable vanes I've used. Have fun fratello mio. Paul My most ac...

Re: To Cut or Not

Long arrows are generally more accurate at longer ranges than shorter arrows. Some hunting situations are such that arrows beyond the stirrup are a non-factor. Pick the absolute maximum you might ever want to shoot. With an original arrow and a cut arrow, see what type of groups and trajectory you g...

Ron,
I’m very sorry you’re going through this nightmare. Just can’t imagine what you’re going through emotionally. My wife and I will pray for both of you.

Re: Dr Stirrup kit

The stirrup makes sense in helping the draw safer and more even. But, I dont have any trouble drawing the 380, so that wasnt a selling point for me. I was more interested in it quieting the shot noise and acting as a bipod to aim from. Thanks for the response! For you, I think you made the prudent ...

Re: New Hawke XB30 COMPACT 1.5-6×36 SR

Hawke has a large variety of rifle scopes. Some are quite pricy. Surely , they have some good glass. Hawke crossbow glass has improved some over the years. Really like their scopes but wish they’d significantly upgrade their glass. At least Hawke is very consistent in that they always need to upgrad...

Re: using the new crank with no foot in the stirrup

I leave my Matrix and BD400 xbows on the front and rear rests while I cock with the C-2 and Charger. Rear rest has to move forward. The Charger is easier, by far, except I have to take it off to shoot so I use the C-2 at the range. For normal, non-range usage, I think the Charger is a serious upgrad...

Re: Kinetic Energy

SEW makes some good points, but not everyone agrees that KE is the be all end all. I for one look at the momentum of the arrow and not the KE. Arrows kill by going through the animal making penetration the second most important factor for a killing shot next to shot location. Momentum is velocity X...
