Re: Excalibur Owners Anonymous

BTW, I'm not getting sucked into publicly telling how many bows I have. If you wanna know, come to Boofest  Well, I'm happy I can still count them all on one hand. Your problem may be that you ran out of fingers and toes and don't want the wife to figure it out when you start using her finger...

Re: Excalibur Owners Anonymous

Just added #4 to the stable, a Grizzly. Eldest daughter moved out and I still need the Sapphire for my boys. So being the nice dad I am, I'm adding a Grizzly to the stable for long-term loan to her. That should hold me for a few months until the disease builds itself up again. On a side note...

Re: Quiver disassembly?

Anybody else with an idea before I try and give it a try and break one of them?

I wouldn't hesitate, the Matrix 355 is an awesome bow, can't go wrong with one.

Re: Dr Stirrup kit

I have the full kits on all 3 of my bows (1 of them is the M380 mentioned by Anthony above). I put the stirrup on my Sapphire just for the added protection of making sure an arrow doesn't go into one of my kid's feet. And as Anthony stated, the stirrup makes it very easy to stand the bow up without ...

Re: RobD

Thanks guys. It's the big 50 today. Treated myself to a Primos shooting stick and some SlickTrick Xbow 125gr broadheads to try out.

Re: new limbs from Anthony

I got my Matrix limbs today as well, though I have to confess they are still in their sturdy-looking package at work because I was running late. I've purchased from Anthony more times than I care to admit, and every transaction has been above and beyond. I think the rest of his basement is set to ar...

....everyone must be out buying their Assassin for the upcoming season!

Anthony
Nah, I bought all your stuff so I can't afford an Assassin right now. Plus I'm too busy running from my wife, who happens to be wielding a part of Matrix limbs in a threatening way.

Re: Members that make strings

Several great choices for string makers. Get 2 or 3 made at the same time to save on shipping. That way you have an identical backup (# strands, material type) so only need to swap in the replacement and verify point of impact with a single shot.

Now now Anthony, just make every shot count. And then count every shot. And you can always stop by the house and borrow one of my M380s!

Re: Quiver disassembly?

It feels like a snap and click kind of fit. I just don't want to pull to hard and bust the latch(es) that hold it together. The broadhead rubber insert seems to be pretty solid in there, maybe it is glued. The quiver arm has wiggle movement which is why I think it is clipped in. I am thinking either...

Quiver disassembly?

I have two Matrix 380 bow now, and Jelly Belly happened to come with a longer quiver than my Xtra model did. The thing I like is that the longer one on Jelly Belly keeps the bow very stable with the Dr Stirrup stirrup. My Xtra always wants to lean over and take a nap. So I bought a new Excalibur qui...

Re: Dr. Stirrup install question

No, didn't heat it up. I was putting a Trigger Tech, so I may have had the stock off and used an old arrow down the interior of the rail and popped it out that way. I just know one of them was tough.

Re: Dr. Stirrup install question

Not sure if this is the recommended way or not, but when I installed them on my bows I had one that was unusually harder to get out than the others. I think I found a real thin screwdriver shaft and poked the cap from behind by using one of the holes for mounting the rail. Just be careful not to dam...
