Grandsons first crossbow Added Photo

Post by maine hunter » Wed Jun 14, 2017 7:28 am

Just bought a used vixen. It was a great deal and in great shape. Want to deck it out for him. But look's like I can't put string stops on it. And if I can't do that then the munch mount won't go on either. Anybody have any ideas??? :D

he is growing up fast! Almost 14 months old.

You must have bought one of the older cast riser models. They don't need the stuff on them, may have to run a quiver brkt on it.

Kevin, that bow has carved tip limbs. Make sure that you use only dacron strings on it. Danny Miller makes a dacron Flemish. They used to call it "Super String", and before you could use Fast Flight string materials, it had a pretty big following. That bow is a beaut! I love the old carved tip models, they are much fun to shoot.
Grand kiddos are a hoot. Had my 6 yr. old grandson out to the deer lease this spring. We both had a good time. :D
Kevin, you can have that bow "Well Broken In" by the time that one is shootin'! :D
