My hockey season ended two weeks ago. I may play some summer hockey as a fill in goalie as I did not want to play every week. Three days a week from first of September to end of March. I need time for the aches and pains to go away. Getting old sucks!

Respectfully, your thread may get more attention in the 'Other Topics' section of the board index.

i know i was.. i am a die hard leafs fan but i was so happy to see him go somewhere that he wouldn't bear the weight of the world on his shoulders.. he is a fantastic hockey player but he wasn't a good fit in toronto.. he isn't and never will be , a guy that can do it on his own.. he needs some other great players to help take the load off and just let him play.. he was such a scapegoat in toronto, so many people ( media included) expected him to lead the leafs to the big show... i absolutely loved seeing him hoist the cup, a very deserving player in my eyes.. i love the leafs now, they have such tremendous talent and upside, but this damned media is going to ruin these kids.. the night austin matthews scored 4 goals in his debut, the idiot media scrum kept asking him about where the parade will be held.. seriously? this is what is wrong with sports now a days, these kids hang a crap down wind of a pig farm and there has to be 15 editorials and stories and Q&A's on it.. anyways, i like that he is on a contending team, it's where he should be..

I think that's what made him a good fit in Pittsburgh, he shines in the playoffs.

youth and speed are key. I'm sure Babcock will keep their heads straight up there. He's a great coach, one of those guys that you can't stand unless he's on your team.
I'm pulling for the Leafs this round, would love to see the Caps get knocked out early.

Great to see the Maple Leafs making a comeback! I'm a Pen's fan but it's good to see the Maple Leaf's back in the playoff's this year....and with the young talent years to come.

Harold Ballard will be rolling around in his grave wondering how much money he could have made if he sold off all the young talent and keep fielding a team of nobody's. Teacher's Union did no better owning the team. Finally appears all the owners stepped back out of the picture and letting the professionals run the team. That's why they are moving ahead and winning. Until this year they have not been entertaining in 45 years. CHEERS!
