Re: Happy Birthday Greylag (Vern)

Thank's Isis, and to ALL the Forum members for your well wishes.
It is being able to enjoy the outdoors with good friends that keep me going. I hope I will be able to enjoy this for many more years to come.
Good Luck, and a Happy and Healthy New Year to All.

Thank's again.

Vern.

Congratulations

Congrats R.J. for tagging both nice toms, and for the great pictures as usual.
Also congrats to C.H. for hanging in there and finally tagging his first bird of the season, and to Skip for tagging is first turkey ever, that must have been a real thrill for him, I guess he is hooked now forever.

Treestands

I'm not a young man anymore, and I stay on the ground. I kill just as many deer from a ground blind as I did from tree stands. It's a lot safer and just as enjoyable.

Congrats Rick & Randy.

What a way to start turkey hunting, you can bet that you won't always be that lucky. Although as R.J. informed me you both had to work for your birds.
Nice bow shot R.J. that is always a challenging shot.

Tried to get a hold of Mark Horner, had no luck, as he has changed all his phone numbers, also his parents on the farm. So will have to get up to the farm and try to contact them...

mdcrossbow, I've got to admit that really gave me a good chuckle.
I'm not sure if that is true or not, but I'm pretty sure that would have happened if you had tried to do that to a wild deer.
