Re: how much land

I have hunted a 400 acre lease for tha last three years. My fellow club members have takesn some deer there but I haven't. I have taken deer on a 40 acre tract that belongs to a friend but encroaching adjacent land owners put a stop to that. I live in a city and back up to a greenway that is about a...

Re: Excalibur Waranty Information

What other company would do that when you bought a used product traded at a store that was 20 years old????
Ruger & RCBS. They have both done this for me, Ruger on a third hand Mk1 pistol and RCBS on a no longer manufactured, used reloading press.

I have done it also

I was shotting at a little piebald buck when I did it. In the excitement of the moment I got my thumb to high. Yeow! The string hitting my thimb either robbed the shot of energy or deflected the arrow or, more likely, both. Instead of the clean pass through shot the bolt skidded along the ribls of t...

Hoss, I have to retract my time frame. Though the eagle over N (nitro powder proof) looks to me like the simplified, stylized Weimar era eagle the more research I have done makes me think that the eagle is a post WWII proof. The 63 in a shield indicates the pistol was proofed in 1963. Sorry to have ...

Yes Hoss,

I believe it was made between 1919 and 1933. The folding trigger was not common beyond that time frame also. Probably closer to 1919 than 1933.

22 Revolver

The bird on the pistol is from the Weimar Republic time frame, a 14 year period form 1919 to 1933.
The word Germany on the pistol means it was made for export to the US.
The cross hatched shield indicates the pistol was proofed by the Munich proof house.

Dogs

On our lease any coyote or dog (domesticated coyote) that can be killed is. I don't feel good about killing peoples pets but I do it. I would hate for someone to kill mine but I keep them in the house or fenced in the yard. Responsible dog owners do not let their dogs run wild. There are leash laws,...

Failed to penetrate

Last year I shot a amall piebald buck with my Exocet 200. The shot was quartering away from me on the let side of the deer. I am a right handed shooter so my left hand is holding the forestock. I got my thumb up to high (always wondered how anybody could do that) and the string hit my thumb giving m...

O2

How about for the hunt going to a constant delivery system and then changing back to the on demand system after the hunt? There should be no noise from that kind of system. Ask your doctor about this.

Game Gambrel Pulleys

I have purchased game gambrels with pulley that reduce the load to 1/2 or 1/4 of the actual weight, discarded the gambrel and used the pulley and rope to hang a 150 pound barrel of corn. this works very well. These gambrels with pulleys can be purcased relativly inexpenseivly at Bass Pro Shops and e...

Owwww!

I did that last season when I shot my piebald buck. Bruised my thimb big time adn ended up with a large blood blister. Thought I might lose the nail but didn't. What was worse though is the energy robbed from the shot and the shot deflection from the string hitting my thumb made my arrow go awry. In...
