Re: Thoughts on 308 Short
I shot the 308 Banshee at the Harrisburg Great Outdoor Show. I really liked it a lot and had made up my mind to buy one. I ran across a used Micro 335 Nightmare priced that I just couldn't pass up. There isn't a lot of difference in size that is noticeable when handling(at least not to me). I did no...

Re: 2213's and Current Excalibur Models
I found the best for me to prep the shaft was Ajax on a rag rinsed with really hot water. This removes anything and everything from the shaft. A mistake that many make is handling the gluing surfaces after prepping. https://s19.postimg.org/plif6mmcj/My-2-_Cents.jpg +1.... People tend to forget that...

Re: Ghost Blind Sale
Yes they are a bit pricey....I was reading the description of one of the models and it stated that tree stands and conventional blinds have their advantages over the ghost Blind and should be used where appropriate.... Sounds like they are shooting themselves in the foot with that statement. At tho...

Re: Sheds and Floods
That's a bummer.... I have a winch on the front of my ATV plus I carry an 8' choker strap and 25'' tow strap in case I get hung up while in the woods. I'll use the choker around a tree and the winch cable plus the tow strap if I'm farther away from a tree than my winch cable can reach.

Re: SMF Composite Frame?
What exactly does SMF stand for???? I have an Axion SMF and always wondered. I saw where in another thread someone asked this question and the answer back he received was "steel main frame" which I never believed.

Re: Cocking rope
I left my pop up blind up this past hunting season and we got a foot of wet snow. I went to my property to retrieve it and the snow had smashed the top down and broke 3 of the fiberglass rods. It had survived 6 inches of snow in the past but the wet one foot snow was just too much for it.

Re: Reducing scent
My hunting clothes, other than cold weather gear, are all Scent Lok or Scent Blocker. There are many things we can try doing to reduce scent but I believe the most effective thing to do is free.....hunt the wind. That's the most successful scent elimination going. Paul +1 on hunting the wind...

I'm going to be 66 in May... My wife and I walk a couple of miles each morning. Our local Mall allows people to enter the Mall prior to the stores opening and walk the main floor layout. One complete trip around the Mall is a 1/2 mile. We normally do 2 miles. When the weather is not cold we have a r...

Re: New to Excalibur Crossbows
I started out with the verticle recurve, then when the compound hit the market basically the same things they are saying about crossbows was being said. Muzzleloader are the same thing. The newer in lines are not truly muzzleloader..... People just aren't open to change.... As has been already said,...

Re: United States Postal Service WTH
Several years ago my son mailed an Ithaca 10 gauge Shotgun Barrel down to Louisianna to have choke tubes installed in it. He insured the barrel for $200 if I remember correctly and when it arrived at the place that was going to do the work an empty box with a hole in the end is what arrived. The com...
