Re: Replacement Limbs For Older Wide Models?

I got a very prompt response from Dawn at Excalibur, here it is; "If they are the REALLY old models with the old carved tip limbs, we would have to upgrade the limbs to the newer molded tip style as the carved are no longer available. To do so would be $100.00 for the set and you would also need the...

Replacement Limbs For Older Wide Models?

It is a hypothetical question at the moment but I was wondering if anyone knew if limbs and other replacement parts were still available for the older models, such as Vixen's and Exocet's.

My apologises if this has been addressed before, I did try the search feature w/o success.

I think that one is a bullpup design, how is the trigger compared to the other models?

Used to shoot a lot of 3D and to be honest the best target bows were, and still are n my my opinion, the lower poundage Exo series bows. An older Vixen or Phoenix would fit all your criteria to a T.
Yes, I wondered about that.

Was not sure about parts availability for the older models.

Excalibur Current Models Best Suited For 3D/Target?

My reason for posing this question is that my Excalibur experience is limited to 15 years ago, having owned a Vixen and an Exocet, I am not conversant with the advantages/disadvantages of the current models. (I should have kept the Vixen :( , it was a great "shooter") My interest is purely for targe...

Re: String Life On The Lower Velocity Excalibur's

Thanks

I shot a Vixen and an Exocet for 3D about 20 years ago and I do not recall getting that kind of string life. Sounds like string materials have improved :D

Wish I had kept that Vixen :(

String Life On The Lower Velocity Excalibur's

I tried to search this w/o any success. Does anyone have any figures for an approx. number of shots a well cared for string will last on a lower velocity Excalibur, such as a Matrix Grizzly? I am sure there are some varying numbers out there, just looking for approximates. I am assuming the centre s...

Re: Composite Frame vs Aluminium Frame?

Thanks the only thing that wares out are strings and you can reserve your strings your self on a recurve bow with out going to pro shop. Yes, that's one of many things I liked about the Vixen and the Exocet that I had for 3D years ago. I would be out on the course and see a compound shooter, crossbo...

Re: Composite Frame vs Aluminium Frame?

I have not been active with crossbows since 2004, so I see a lot of changes. I have been under a rock  , I just found out about Bowtech, anyway............. I took a look at new Excaliburs today. It seems the ergonomics of the 308 Short fit me the best, which was a surprise, but good to know....

Re: Do you Canadians want better legislation for your firearms?

I think we can add a lead ammunition ban to this as well. This is my opinion but I am sorry to say that I think my assessment is correct. Due to my involvement in our club, I received this email'; Dear Sir/ Madam: Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) would like your feedback on the recently ...
