Re: Jaw Bone Knife Build (Graphic)
Definitely original lol did you glue in the teeth ??? Hey Bullseye I was planning on leaving them loose but when I put the epoxy in the cavity most of them glued firm, three were loose and the rest were solid so I removed the three loose ones and glued them in for it to be consistent. Waif sounds l...

You are 100% correct. Did not take me long to figure that out...paulaboutform wrote:Great story Galgo. Certainly a shame about that doe. Your friend doesn't sound like someone I'd bring hunting anywhere. Very interesting idea for the knife, never would have occurred to me.

Jaw Bone Knife Build (Graphic)
This all started one Friday afternoon when I was with the kids at a school fair. I got a call from a "not so proficient" hunter friend of mine telling me a doe and fawn were making there way towards him. He was hunting with his crossbow on a farm where i got him permission. 10 Minutes late...

Re: Trying before buying???
Very Good point da bluz. I made sure I cocked each crossbow i was interested in with an aid and by hand. I was also fortunate enough to shoot several cross bows at an indoor range at a shop an hour from my home before I chose my excalibur. Very helpful.

Re: String Jump
Really like this thread Sig. I recall that Bill Troughbridge simplified the equation down to aiming for a heart shot and mitigating the change of a non vitals impact on a string jumping deer. That has stuck with me but I really like knowing the theoretical numbers too...keep it coming.

Re: A Word of Warning - Beware
I remember some time ago, some members recommended taking the creep out of the trigger by pulling it with the safety on and members and I believe Excalibur also strongly recommended against it for this very reason.

Question for string guru's
Was going through the man cave yesterday and came across a stock excalibur endless loop string that came with my original X bow 9 years ago. Still in the little plastic baggie. I got to thinking if there is a shelf life for unused strings? I also have a couple FF strings and a custom string or two t...

Re: Arrow Accuracy
Agree. I found it very odd when I started in archery that manufacturers and shooters alike were obsessed with claiming that field points shoot the same as broadheads. Unfortunately I've seen many hunters fall for that hype and then wonder why they can't get accuracy with their hunting tackle. At som...

Re: Lead Sled
I love it. No need to add weight. Just be careful the front bag is deeper than my excalibur (exo 200) rail. I set something down in the bag then sit the stock on top of it. Do not want the string to hit that bag during a shot.

Re: Hip Quiver
I do. I bought a hip quiver then removed the guts of it and installed the excalibur quiver inside the hip quiver. Best of both worlds.
