Congratulations on a nice bull!! Beautiful shot from 44 yards. Practice paid off. I'm sure it will taste great. I was up in Timmins at my cousin's cabin last weekend. 49 grouse shot and 8 beaver trapped in three days, (setup takes a full day so really 8 beaver in 2 days). No moose though, (we only h...

Up to Timmins a second time this fall on the weekend. We shot 50 grouse before I left on Monday. Saw a black fox for the first time, saw thw biggest lynx I have ever seen, and helped trap a few beaver. No moose though. The rest of the boys are getting out of the bush tonight. Waiting to see if I hav...

I, and many others that I ride with, have gotten the best deal through the SPAM! riders plus (www.ridersplus.com toll free 1-877-251-4504). They use the Echelon Insurance Company. I pay about $700 per year for full coverage, (public liability, fire/theft and collision) on my 2003 VFR800. No alarm re...

Just to stir the pot a little  :P What do you think about the new mechanicalbroadheads offered by Excalibur? They say they operate reliably, (I assume they mean that they will open only after penetration). I would hope that they have tested these extensively!?!? wabi . . .I just have a hard tim...

First of all . . .what will be your absolute longest shot? If you are hunting in an area that only offers a 20 yard shot or less, I'd say your set-up is OK. If you are looking at shooting further than 20 yards, then I would suggest a mechanical broadhead. Probably a WASP SST with a 1.75 inch cut. I...
