Re: Excalibur taking a beating.
I had a limb splinter on my 405 a couple years ago and since I got it back I've shot quite a bit and I bought an extra pair of limbs just in case but it's looking like I won't need them. I don't baby my bow during hunting season but I do try and take care of it, I really don't think I would be happy...

Re: Will a Matrix 330 riser work on a Matrix 405
Robd, that makes sense. I had a limb splinter on my 405 and they had me send in the whole front end and it looks like they removed a little bit of the sharp edges on the limb pockets. I don't have a chronograph but I wonder if the speed changed any with the metal removed. Limbs have held up well sin...

Re: First Use of The Hawk Crawler
I understand. That's pretty cool to help out others. I kinda raised my nephew and he is 32 years old now with a family of his own and he still loves to hunt and keeps in touch with me weekly .

Re: First Use of The Hawk Crawler
That is awesome. My son is 9 and he is really getting into hunting. He's getting a 305 short for Christmas so next year he'll be in the ladder stand with his own xbow. I imagine you are very proud and you should be. Thanks for sharing with us.

Re: How old is old
53 this year and went on chemotherapy for the 5th time in October. Have had to many surgeries to count but I have been in my tree stand 3 times and I am heading out to camp for the rest of the week. Some days are harder than others but nothing cures better than being in the woods. May God bless us a...

Will a Matrix 330 riser work on a Matrix 405
Just wondering if the limbs are the same on both. I have a spare set of limbs for the 405 but if I could just swap the whole riser out it would be nice. I am not having any problems with the 405 at all just wondering.
Thanks in advance, Dan

Re: Washing camo
I use scent a-way natural earth scent laundry soap and deodorant. I like Dead down wind Evolve 3D scent killer spray natural outdoor scent. I keep my hunting clothes in a scent blocker hunting bag with earth scent dryer sheets and doing that and paying attention to the wind seems to work pretty good...

Matrix 330 using factory 18" diablo with aluminum inserts and 100gr Excalibur mechanical heads. Both have Flemish twist strings.

Re: HELP. Matrix 380 shoots low after scope adjustment
Okay sounds good. I just got my C2 crank so I'll shoot some more today. The 405 gets a little bit rough on my back after a dozen or so shots. I don't have a chronograph but I'm shooting an 18" victory bolt with a brass insert and a 150grn tip. I'm not sure if I like the twilight scope or not, I...

Re: HELP. Matrix 380 shoots low after scope adjustment
Question for you guys, once you sight in this way does the twilight scope work like a rifle 3x9 or do you only use the dial for range. If you turn up the magnification and shoot 20 yards will it be off or does it matter what the number on the ring is set at? I got two deer last year but they were bo...

I have the onyx hunt app on my phone and when I get to the stand I can send a text to my wife through the app letting her know exactly where I am. They added that feature last year and I like it.

Re: Swhacker 150 crossbow broadhead
I didn't double band mine and last year I had a 125gn open up as soon as I pulled the trigger. I got pretty lucky, I found both pieces of the bolt and the blades were torn up and it left a pretty good scratch on the stirrup. I never thought about double bands, I just went ahead and switched to the b...

Re: 405 brace height?
I had new limbs put on my 405 last fall and you can see where they took some metal from the riser pockets. I have a Flemish string and it came back with my string but the brace height was pretty much what yours is. I think the 405 is fast enough that if it lost any speed I couldn't tell, I did have ...
