Don I have been talking with Jerry @ SSA and with his ,Grims and Dropzones from CBN I have been FLO testing the shafts. There are a few different ways . You can use a RAM spine tester. The shaft will rest in a V of some kind @ each end. Can not say that is not true when shooting an Excalibur. How ever I have seen some post where the zombie slayers are to stiff for some bows that are shooting less that 300 fps . I have white on most of the arrows I build . If you look at the raps people use lots of them are white. As long as your not waving the arrow around you will be fine.

parabolic Less noise in flight Than the Shield.
I have always liked the looks of the shield better. For me when I bought my feather choppers all my right wing choppers are parabolic and my left wing are Shield.

Making your own arrows is lots of fun and arrows for crossbows are changing so much and so fast right now.
