Wabi is wright. I was new to crossbow hunting this year as well. I too went to Cabelas. The salesman there told me the Barnett was the cheapest quality bow they sold. Said he had one explode on a customer while they were shooting it in the store. I then asked him what the best was. His reply was the...

The ones I removed I boiled some water. Then stuck the end of the shaft in the water for about 20 or 30 seconds. Used some pliers and pulled them right out.

Hey wabi. We have rapped our own deer and beef for years. Like you putting it in that white rapping paper you can buy at the meatlocker. About 3 years ago we started putting our deer meat in the ziplock freezer bags. We get as much air out of the bag as we can. They work great the deer will keep at ...

Had to sit in my stand till about 7:15 before any deer came through. The doe stopped about 10yrds. From me, I shot and she went a...

Welcome to the forum. you do not want the deer to freeze. If you hang it in side where it will not get so cold should be fine. 25 to 45 degree weather is the best for hanging them.
Where are you that it's so cold ?
Good luck and have fun and safe.

Wabi thaks for this post. I'm using Wasp Jackhammers also. They have shot very well for me. Two things, One when I've shot them at 40yards or more they really seem to whistle. Have you noticed this ? No I don't plan on shooting at anything that far away. But if I hear it, after the sound of the bow ...
