We've tested crossbows by leaving them cocked for days, but you shouldn't EVER leave a crossbow cocked between hunts. That's like leaving your truck running all night with a brick on the gas pedal because it's easier than warming it up in the morning! give the limbs some respect and they'll last a l...

Thanks for the input folks, we are always interested in what our customers think and we are listening! That said, our trigger is NOT plastic. It is actually machined and anodized aluminum extrusion. If it was plastic we could mold it to be really fancy, but reliability is too important for that sort...

PHOTOS FROM ZAMBIA
I've finally got caught up to the point where I downloaded my photos from the lion hunt and I thought that I'd put them up for you folks to see. If you refer to the short story of the hunt from last Friday you'll find that they make a bit more sense. Enjoy! http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/images/li...

Give us a call and we can UPS a scope to you immediately, but unless you drive down here I can't replace it before tomorrow morning. The good news is that deer season lasts 3 months though, so all isn't lost. We will replace it with one of the very newest LZs, and warranty concerns with them so far ...

Now you know why I dropped the hammer BEFORE it got dark. I did sleep in the blind a few nights at a leopard bait later, another story though! Even sleeping in camp was an experience. Last year one of the workers there was ripped to shreds by an elephant within a hundred yards of camp. They had a he...

Back from Zambia
I crawled home yesterday afternoon after about 38 hours in transit! Man, what a long trip that was, about 25 days from start to finish and the middle 23 days were in about the most wild and remote part of Africa. I'm still trying to get myself back into the time zone but I'll give you guys a quick r...

Thanks for all your good wishes! Down to two sleeps now and there's still lots to do. It's great to be part of this forum and I want you guys (and gals) to all know how much I appreciate your participation here, and the good-natured way that you get along. It makes my job as moderator VERY easy. I h...

THREE MORE SLEEPS.....
I'm just finishing up my last-minute stuff and getting my gear in order for a very big adventure. Sunday morning Dave, videographer extrordinaire, and I are getting onto the big bird and heading for Zambia where we will be spending 3 weeks in pursuit of Lion, Leopard, and Buffalo. I expect that ther...

I'm surprised you are having problems with the Firebolts and Boltcutter heads. I've been shooting in preparation for a hunt next week and I am using an Exomax, boltcutters, and Firebolts. My groups are less than 4 inches at 40 yards with this setup, are you expecting more, or doing something wrong? ...
