A friend of mine told me story where, when he was much younger, he and a friend made a crossbow from a leafspring from and old jeep, a 2x4 and a cable. He drilled a hole in the 2x4 to lever-back the cable against the leafspring's resistance, used a piece of re-bar as a bolt. They fired the re-bar bo...

Either one will be great. The Max has a lot of power, the Exocet will be more than enough for deer. Does he want an xbow that's faster than your Mag? Here's an idea, let him get a Max this year, and an Exocet next year!!!

Thanx GaryL !!! Now I know I have endless loop strings. You know, if they're going to change products on us, they could at least let us know. Peolple like me wouldn't have known the difference... Current info on Excalibur Website regarding their accessory package (notice the FFF string!): 2297 STAND...

Anyone out there experienced Rocky Mtn broadheads? I bought a set of 100 gr T-100 titaniums, and the 100 gr mechanical Snyper. I'm really liking the Snyper!!! It uses "cam-action" in opening, in other word's, the blades open from the front, not hinged on the rear of the ferrule. http://www...

Did you get to talk to a warden? If so, get the one who's answer you preferred to put it in writing for you. That way, if you get stopped and questioned you can whip out this wardens written description of the regulation regarding scopes on your xbow! If it's worth the trouble..??..

Is it scopes are illegal, or the magnification part of the scope. There was a post here a while back, where a guy was looking for a non-red dot scope with no magnification for an Idaho hunt ~ Idaho does not allow any scopes with magnification on their archery equip. Try looking for the WA reg's onli...

Can anyone out there post a pic, or explain in detail how I can tell the difference btwn the FFF & endless loop?
GaryL, My Max was backordered from Cabela's in May, so I'm assuming it wasn't "on their shelf". So now I'm really wondering what I have strung...

Well my kit that I ordered advertised Fast Flight Flemish strings, and I got mine in May (Bill T's quote was in March...). I may be really new to this sport, and may not be able to look at a string yet and tell you what it's made out of, but I know what I was told about what I ordered, and how to in...

Accroding to the video... That's what you're supposed to do. The string will stretch some on the next 50 or so shots... As long as you're not crossing that mark closest to the trigger on the rail, you're okay!
And I interpreted Bill T's reply, as you got 2 FFF strings, just has different servings...

ch312, Watch the video, or you can view them on the excalibur site, You need to twist the string about 4 twists till it comes back to the rear line. Also, I believe, the FFF string is what came with the "kit", the other string is the stock string. (I didn't pay too much attention to my oth...

Mike, I think GaryL should be able to let you know what you'll need to bring, as he'll know what ya'all need for your hunt... I've hunted in different situations, different places, with different people, and needed/not needed different things for different trips. You may need a certain amount of hun...

Greywolf... VERY interesting! Be sure to keep us posted on this improvement. Are you going to compare the "sound stat's" from your composite stock to your new Mark stock with these other improvements, or can you compare with the original stock before you add marks wood stock? In other word...

I use them with my Vert bow... With GREAT results! Haven't tried messing with the stock set up for my xbow yet. Still using the bolts I purchased when I got my Max, since they seem to work great as well... I'll probably try messing with different combinations after hunting seasons this year (and get...
