Nice going!
Based on stories like yours and some of my own experiences over the last 2 seasons, I'm really gaining respect for the effectiveness and flexibility of getting them from the ground.

28 points between the three of them, that is . http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v452/josiah1/4_zps5c02b464.jpg I'll be lucky if I get out this month for the first time this season, so in the mean-time I'll live vicariously through your new successes and my old ones. Keep the deer pics and sto...

Re: problem with my bow!! Not happy!!
But i sure am now! :D I experienced a self induced problem with my bow 2 nights ago. Nope, wasnt a dryfire. Worse. One that could potentially be a very expensive repair, not that any of you guys would know because the first step i took was to contact Peter @ excalibur. Ive heard back from him alrea...

Re: My tree stand vandalized!!!
Well, a bear has smashed up another one of the stands at our camp . We've been putting up wooden stands for nearly 20 years and never had this problem until we built the last two stands out of pressure treated wood. Lesson learned.

Re: Exocet help
BTW, it was Big John who convinced me to go with a light arrow (268 gr. without head) for my bow. They fly flat yet still go through both sides of a deer.

Re: Exocet help
Congratulations! Your bow will put arrows through deer and stick them in the ground behind. It's every bit as accurate as any Excalibur made today. The arrows & heads described in my signature line below are exactly what I was shooting with the original carved tip limbs.

Rest assured you have purchased crossbow broadhead perfection.Dayelight wrote:I just ordered some Slick Trick 100gr.
I ordered regular slicks. Are they going to be a problem out of my axiom? I didn't know they had specific ones for the xbow when I placed my order.

Re: Marking yards without range finder
A rangefinder is a handy tool and I'll always have one now, but before that I killed most of my deer without one. "Hot box" trials dog using dogs to find concealed humans with and without "scent-lok" clothing have emperically proven that these products are bunk.
