just one thing to keep in mind...the new bows have two scribed lines on them...1 1/8" would seem to be the ideal setting for most bows, but this measurement is nowhere near these two lines...the bottom line is approx. 3/4" and the top is much more than 1"...you need to measure the dis...

A true 4 deg helical fletch with vanes will rub the rail and can only slow down your fps but with feathers not as bad. All reading I have done on xbows state to use a straight fletched vane/feather for that reason. Most xbow bolts from the manufacture comes with a 1 too 2 deg. off set..This is not ...

Vixen power stroke = 14"

Phoenix power stroke = 14"
...the limbs will be the same...different riser (same as the exomax...)

I just got my new old Exocet last month. I can not help but feel a little bit disappointed, but I should not be because it really is a great bow and it is up to the task of taking any whitetail in my neck of the woods.

350 will get you 305fps...350 is recommended, but split the difference between the recommended 350 on an exocet and the 325 on a vixen...think about it, and i'm betting you can get 310 +++...never mind, already did it...

i agree to a point with you gary, but if i bought a new exocet (maybe within the last month), and all of sudden my one month old bow is slightly obsolete, i think that the ability to upgrade it asap, would be a smart business thing to do...this makes more sense now, that most of the lineup will move...

-actually the exomax limbs are the same as all of the other bows...but, take the riser from this bow and retrofit it on all of the 2004 models and what have your got...your 150 # vixen now flys like a bird (phoenix) and your 2004 exocet just got turbo-charged...what about the emag...it's already don...

Let's just say though, that if Cabela's were to order 2000 bows and possibly be a continuing market, they would pay a per unit wholesale price that would knock your socks off. A smart manufacturer would also keep confidential any such special arrangements, especially from his smaller retailers. I h...

it's plain and simple...how do you sell merchandise for less than what it normally costs to buy it from a manufacturer or a distributor...something just a little bit "fishy" here...

as jim mentions and i totally agree - i have never had a deer stop and wait for the shot at 10-20-30-40-50 yards dead on the yardage (oh, maybe once)...if it wasn't would you wait until your rangefinder said it was...not for me, bowhunting is challenging enough...so what difference does it really ma...
