Very nice job! Definitely adds some cool factor to the man cave.
But, I would have turned it into a smoker.
Old fridges like that with porcelain coated steel interiors are perfect for smokers and are hard to come by these days...

A wrap or two of electrical tape around the scope will snug up a loose fitting scope cap and keep it secureOppie wrote:

Re: Shooting Stick
I made some shooting sticks out of old arrows and have been using them for years. Two arrows cut in half, some rubber hose, a length of bungee cord for tent pole repairs, and a quick spray with bedliner and you're good to go. Lightweight, quiet, and self assembling for quick shots. Like to see what...

Gotta love perch fishing through the ice! St Clair is a bit too far for me so I head to Lake Simcoe. There's usually a few of them around... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v381/canadianhunter312/fishing/fishfinderperch.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v381/canadianhunter312/PerchBucket_zpsee...

I've read nothing but good things about them. I REALLY like the sounds of the Dagger model due to it's size:
Speed up to 340 fps
Physical Weight 6.3 lbs
Width 19.5"
Length 30"
Powerstroke 10"
Draw Weight 220 / 200 / 150 / 125

Re: Matrix 405 / Exomax 350 -Speed Results
I've never thought about the weight of a string effecting the speed.
Maybe someone can come up with a string that's much lighter with a smaller diameter to gain even more speed?

Re: Matrix 405 / Exomax 350 -Speed Results
With my Exomax and F1 Chrony I get 345-348 fps from what I recall:
-Firebolts w/ 2" blazers and 100 gr heads - 370ish grains?
-Excalibur FF string
-D-bars
-S5
Why such a big difference?

Wash your camo (inside out to preserve camo pattern) with nothing but baking soda added to the water, hang dry, and place a cedar or pine branch in your scent free camo bag. Don't waste your money on any store bought cover scents or laundry detergents. However, I do like to use scent eliminating bod...

Re: Meat grinder
It's very easy to convert the hand crank models. This one uses a big electric motor with that gearing thing that reduces the speed to a good grinding speed (too fast and you can get heat and/or mushy meat). There's a rubber coupler that connects the two units and the motor/wood half separates from t...

Re: Small Game with Matrix 380?
I shot a squirrel with a blunt, the big rubber style, almost an inch wide. The squirrel was standing on a wooden fence, with my Exocet the arrow passed clean through the squirrel, so fast that it did not knock the little fellow off. For a moment, I thought I could see daylight through the hole in h...
