sumner4991, Thanks for helping me to understand your post. With me shooting the Phoenix I keep my shots at a max of 30yds. targets only so far. I'll keep reading the post on b/h set ups and try to learn from them. I would like to learn how to fletch my own bolts but I don't think I can use my hands ...

Trophy Room!
I have been a member here a little over 2 yrs. and just yesterday looked at the trophy room pics. Boy there are some real nice deer that have been taken by members from here. I couldn't get over the size of some of the deer taken in Canada. A big buck here in N.W. Mo. would be 200lb. live weight. of...

Bolt Weight?
I don't have any scales so I have no way of weighing my bolts. Could some one tell me how many grains a 20" Easton xx75 2219 with 5" plastic veins weight, without B/H Also what type of speed do you think I would get out of my phoenix, with a 125 gr. fix B/H I'm using a standard dacron stri...

I Googled Bluetonge & EHD and the way I read it, is that they are basically the same thing, and until we get a good frost the conditions are better for the midges that carry the viral infection.
I'm sure DR.Dan understands this and could explain it a lot better than me.

Too Hot!!
Went to the cabin Fri. for a weekend hunt, it was 89 when I got to my blind around 14:30. Sat 04:30 it was 74, came home around 12:00 today, just too darn hot. Didn't see a deer the whole weekend, this morning did have a Bobcat & kitten come right past my blind no further than 5 feet from the do...

EHD in my area
Friend of mine has found 5 dead deer, since sep.15. I called the Conservation Dept and ask them if they had any reports of Bluetonge or EHD and they said NO!! I told them of his finding the dead deer, and they didn't seem to be interested at all. Its states in our regulation manual that we are suppo...

Help with a Rangefinder?
I have never been able to use a range finder due to lack of finger movement. All the ones I have looked at require that you hold a button down to bring a object into focus to get yardage. Do any of you guys/gals know of a model which doesn't require activating the unit by holding down a button? Or m...

Another mistake!!!!!!!
I have seen pics. of you guys doing this, but I certainly didn't think I would ever do it. We were up at the cabin yesterday checking on some of the blinds and tree stands. After we got through I told my uncle that I wanted to shoot my bow a couple of times. The 3 bolts at the bottom of the target a...

wabi, bstout,
thanks for the tip. I will mark that spot an keep a eye on the string. I would rather have a little smoother shooting bow than a few extra fps.

Thanks for the explanation guys, now I know what those 2 lines are for. Since it is brand new I guess I could mark where it is now, and if it moves from that mark, take it off and twist it until it returns to the original place.
