I'm sure most of us wish we would have had more time for some more of these chats with our dad's. Guess for me I had to become one to really understand all that I missed. Wish I could turn back time.

Since I got into the habit shooting my bow starting about in June and going through November every year I pretty much follow the same now that I hung up my bow last year and only shoot my Vortex. I don't shoot as many times as before but still like to just get out and let'm fly.

My longest shot was last year during gun season in November here in Minnesota. Was the second to last day and I still had an open tag since I always seem to wait till about the last day for a decent deer. I use a 30/30 lever action with a low power scope as most of the places I hunt you don't get ha...

I only use my rangefinder at first when I setup my stand and then range the area around me so I know certain points so when the time comes for a shot I am not playing with anything and ready to shoot. When I go out west hunting for mule deer then it is a whole different ballgame. We go out and spot ...

Like Mike said - you can tell we are in the off season because when you go from crankaroo to crap I think we covered it all. See, I always said you can learn just about anything here and you guys keep proving me right. We all need a little "off the wall" stuff from time to time  ...

I agree with Mike P. - It has to start with the person who takes the time to show people who are not use to guns or have not been around them. Thanks Vix for stepping up, more of us need to do the same. It may be uncomfortable but as you can see in this case you definity changed her mind.

I bought the Lumizone with my Vortex last year and did not have any problems with it. I did notice one thing that you need to use the lower setting on the light. If you have it turned up to highest setting of10 in very low light it tends to over power your view from the brightness of the cross hairs...

I'm sure you will miss Buster a lot. You can always remember all the good times you had together. I have a Chockolate lab going on 14 years old now that I raised from a pup and I know it's getting close for her time also and I am not looking forward to that either  They become more than just a ...

Have used the 3 blade rage for 2 years now and have had good luck with them. Only had one problem when I did not check that the blades were seated after crawling through some brush and shot and had the arrow do a nose dive from the one blade being open. Otherwise they fly true to my field points and...
