Good thing it pulled it out and didn't snag the bolt and shoot it straight back at the kid. Dude should be arrested. What a way to have your child receive a Darwin Award!

That does not look like the one made by the company in Tenn that makes the STS. They actually were/did make some last year. I remember it being posted on this website then.

This is one of the first products I've seen Hunters Specialties come out with that puts them in the ranks MAD calls for junk (i.e. product totally insane and useless) to separate the hunters from their hard-earned cash. The one thing I put right in there with this product is MAD calls dog whistle tu...

Is Excalibur going to have sound dampening accessory?

It has been talked about here quite a bit over the last year, and some crossbows are beginning to have sound stopping accessories added to them. Several different homemade versions have been made. Is Excalibur going to eventually have a sound dampening device similar to the Horton SoundStopper that ...

From the looks of the graphs on page 4 of this thread it seems as if this string dampener system is cutting down noise by maybe 1-2% max. If these graphs are accurate I would think the various systems being added are not as useful as people are led to believe. I haven't tried one yet, but have tried...

The Renzo whitetail decoys are the best I've use. I had a Montana - but gave it to my brother. I've also used one of the 3d Flambeau decoys - they were way too bulky and noisy trying to set them up. The Renzo packs small - is lightweight - and when viewed from any distance at all look freakin real.

Awesome solution to hip quiver mount. The only thing I would try to do differently is come up with a way of being able to rotate the quiver.

Bohning Lynx 4 arrow quiver is the best quiver for a crossbow. You can do a search on this site for the Dan Miller quiver bracket if you want to mount your quiver up top. If you want to look at an off-bow solution - check into the Sidewinder hip quiver bracket. I bought one earlier this year and hav...

As far as a patent - too late - you've already put your invention out in the public. As far as its design - pretty dang sweet. As far as arrows coming out of the stock quiver versus the Lynx 4 arrow quiver sold by DM along with this crossways mount - believe me they can and will come out of that qui...

I bought mine at Bass Pro and really like it. At this point I'm thinking about taking my quiver mount off my xbow and just using this. BTW - I have my Bohning Lynx 4-arrow quiver mounted on the sidewinder.

Either mount it above with the Dan Miller mount or check into the Sidewinder hip quiver made to mount your quiver/bracket to. Both are pretty nice and better alternatives.
