Re: S5 suppressor question.

I cringed at the thought of drilling on my riser - but went ahead and did it - 11/32 worked but still had to ream it a little. 3/8 would probably work better. Now the only issue I have is that I can no longer use my level and dovetail mount that I used to mount my Dan Miller top mount quiver bracket...

Re: S5 suppressor question.

I just bought a set of the S5 suppressors today. I was disappointed to find I'm having what sounds like the same problem installing these suckers. They won't slide far enough forward toward the limbs to line up with the hole you're supposed to push the bolt through. I really don't want to go drillin...

I have a hunting buddy that uses his 870 with a b-square mount with a rifled choke and he swears by the Remington Buckhammer round. In my H&R USH 20 gauge I have tried most of the popular sabot rounds. I like the Hornady SST pretty well.

Looks like it would take a LOT of movement to try to reach over - cock the crossbow up to about a 45 degree angle to get it out from underneath that hook at the rear. Am I wrong?

A few more pics from todays TN juvenile turkey hunt. Had one turkey sneak up on use about 25 yards away before it starting putting and high tailed it out of there. About 30 minutes later had one working toward us gobbling at my calls. He must have had some hens drag him away cause the next thing we ...

Make sure to buy good glass. You don't have to go up to the Canon L lenses but believe me - they DO make a huge difference in the quality of images. Do some research and you'll see there are a few lens with great reviews that are in their second tier of lenses. The EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS lens is an AWE...

At those prices are you allowed to pick the "acre" you want to hunt?

The Crooked Horn are great and relatively inexpensive. Walmart carries them here locally for < $15.

Leupold 2-7 shotgun scope with heavy reticle will fit the bill nicely.

If you don't go with an SLR - check very very seriously into the Canon Powershot G9. I've read good reviews about it and many high-end semi-pro photographers seem to talk very highly of its capabilities. If you're going SLR - check out the Canon Xti. One thing for sure - stay with Nikon or Canon.

What is the second smaller thing served onto the string? Did you at one time have 2 pairs of whiskers on it?

Digger - that part # from Bass Pro - is it the entire assembly needed to connect a regular stoney point pole cat shooting stick to a crossbow. Is it the screw part with ball that connects to the xbow and the knuckle part that connects to the shooting stick? If so that is MUCH cheaper than getting it...
