I have a phoenix and I felt the trigger was better than any rifle I ever owned. I then got a vortex and felt the same way you feel now. I shot the vortex quite a lot but it does not feel as smooth as the phoenix. I realize one bow is pulling 175 lbs and the other is pulling 200 lbs. i do believe in ...

I do not post very often but it appears that the OT forum is the only area that DrDan and 45 post.

The main reason I use a telescopic sight on my crossbow is because I don't have 20/20 vision. If your vision is less than perfect it's impossible to have the front sight and the rear sight simultaneously focused when using open sights. One or the other will be blurred. The older you get the more di...

It hits it on my vortex but also hits it on my phoenix. Both of the trigger guards have a "mark" on them. Interesting?

I purchased my z-points off e-bay one new and one used from private individuals and they were advertised as being parallax free. I just went to the Zeiss web site and looked into my instruction booklet and could not confirm it. There is a guy on AT named Moon or Moonkryte (might be on this site too)...

I use a zeiss z point(single red dot) on my vortex and I am happy with the set-up. I shoot firebolts w/ 100 grain heads(total weight around 375 grains) and know my arrow's trajectory. I have it sighted dead on at 30 yards therefore each yard past 30 it drops app. 0.7 inches per yard. At 40 yards it ...

The two long rods coming off the top of the bow are for a groundpounder quiver mount. The NGSS does not come with those long rods going up.

I am not expert in this area but I had a somewhat similiar issue with my Vortex when it was new. The trigger "problem" worked itself out after a couple of hundred shots. Reason I felt it was a problem was that I owned a phoenix and I felt its trigger was better than any rifle I ever owned....

Good luck with your exocet and you got it at a great price. If you are willing to put in the time on e-bay and get lucky you can get some great deals on on xbows. Both of mine were purchased off e-bay and I was fortunate to get a great price on my phoenix and vortex. FWIW hunting season is a good ti...
