Turkey hunting does not appeal to me but I went one time and I shot a bird that had a beard but turned out to be a hen. I knew it was legal as my tags did not say male only but a bearded bird. I had no clue it was a hen because it was my 1st time out. My deer tags do not say buck only but say valid ...

Most longtime archery hunters that I know use a single pin (or crosshair) and take multiple deer using archery equipment every year. I only target shoot now as x-bows are still ILLEGAL in my state but when I shot a compound it was one pin with hold under or hold over. Right now I am shooting a zeis...

I would like to thank every one that voted in the NYS poll to legalize cross bows in NYS. Its now running 62% in favor - 35% against x-bow use in NYS during archery season, with 3-4% undecided. U can't imagine how frustating it is that i am not allowed to use a crossbow in my state. At this point I w...

The trigger on my phoenix is very smooth, no creep and probably better than most of my rifles. Now i also own a vortex and yes it does have noticable creep in the trigger. I was pretty shocked at the difference in the two bows. I figured that the phoenix was holding back 175 lbs whereas the vortex w...

thanks for the replies I forgot to mention that after shooting the phoenix i did reset the brace height and it appears that the rope cocker rolled over the clip while resting it. I removed my scope mount and noticed the bent clip immediately. I put it back into the original position and remounted th...

RE: arrow clip stuck in down position
I shot my phoenix and vortex today for about an hour. I had no problems shooting or any other mishaps. i just took a look at my phoenix and noticed the arrow clip is stuck in the down position against the rail whereas my vortex is in the correct position with the clip having a 1/4 inch of airspace b...

There was a lawsuit in regards to ADA the ruling was that NYS does allow the use of crossbows for the handicapped. Only problem is that in NYS the definition of handicapped is different from other states. X-bows are legal for NYS hunters only if they are paralyzed from the neck down. You must demostr...
