Very good article Woody! But being from Ohio, there aren't any big suprises in the statistical information. It just beats me how the majority of deer hunters can be in favor of crossbows being included, the game departments can be in favor of including crossbows, and a few loudly complaining vert b...

I've been using fletching tape ever since I switched to carbons a few years ago . You will wear the feather out before the tape gives up and its a whole lot faster since there is no drying time . I also messed around with 4"& 5"feathers .They are about dead even in performance but I'll...

Thundersnow : I know how you feel . I never shot a crossbow till March and to say I was impressed is a understatement . I've owned and shot about every style of archery equipment made and till I released that first arrow from a crossbow I didnt know what power was . Wait till you start getting it ri...

Woody : That is good news . We need another border state around us allowing more liberal use of crossbows. Hopefully Kentucky will gather the survey data and stand by their guns next year . I hope we get the whole season .

Hooray for Virginia! Sounds like the politicians in Virginia have their act together. The politicians here in Wisconsin have minds so narrow they can look through a key hole with both eyes at the same time when it comes to crossbow laws. Its almost humorous to see what State will come in last when ...

It is not uncommon for broadheads to group differently than field tips. As long as your shafts group that is all that matters. I have some bow and arrows so well matched to each other that the type of head matters not. I have gone to great pains to accomplish this only to satisfy my own curiosity. ...

Guys I'm kinda new on here and new to crossbows but not to archery . My take on it is like this . The actual Limbsavers do work . I have been using them on my compounds for several years . The effect they have on silencing may be small but I believe they relieve a lot of the shock on the limbs , rai...

Guys , I've been playing around with fletching and arrow weight issues too for my crossbow . I have always preferred feathers over vanes and have been tinkering with 4" and 5" feathers. I have found very little difference in the two . They both are basically hitting the same spot . However...

Crossbows are legal on the TN side of LBL (as was posted by someone on TNdeer that called them). That is good.. Maybe I can drive down the Trace with a big ol Tennessee buck strapped on the truck along with my crossbow and say Howdy to all the KY bowhunters on the KY side. ;) That one stung a littl...
