Spin Spin Spin

Sounds like a dumb question but I hear guys talk about spin testing their shafts and heads. I try and I just don't see any difference between shafts and heads. What am I doing wrong? What exactly am I looking for?

Thanks

Unstring during off season

Oops. My exomag has been unstrung since Oct 1. I am not sure I know how to remove the rubber pads.

How do you determine that the existing pads are damaged?

Help

What is your favorite time to hunt Poll

Something to be said for both times I guess, but I seem to think that I see bigger deer in the afternoon and evening. A morning shot does give you a lot more time to track if that becomes necessary. Best day during early Wisc. this year was not typical. Had shot a big buck opening nite so I could o...

Replacing the Serving.

I seem to have a different problem with servings. My servings separate where the stringer clips push against the cocking mechanism at the very top of the cocking stroke. The angle is so acute that the clips push the serving apart at approx 1/4 inch from end of serving. Any suggestions? Thom

Scope suggestions

I have used the original sights and it was ok. I now find I need the extra help of a scope so I went Red Dot. I have used regular scopes on rifles and find that they are a little limiting picking up the object. Both eyes open. The red dot has worked great.
So that is my vote.

First time usse of trail cam

Thanks for all of the nice comments. To those asking about the trail cam I used. Four or five months ago I read a message on this forum talking about a source of refurbished trail cameras for a realtive inexpensive cost. I went to the site and decided to order one. Cost was approx. $60 US. The model...

First time use of a Trail Cam

Hunted North West Wisconsin this fall again. Set up the trail cam on two different stand locations. My brother-in-law and I have stands approx. 200 yards apart in the one location. Took pics from my stand on Tue and the bucks appeared at 6PM. Took pics from his stand two nites later and bucks appear...

Hey RJ, well we have different problems. This year for the first time I used one of the stealth cameras. Got great pictures both day and night, and they came out fine on the computer. Now all I have to do is figure out how to post a picture to this site.???? As to climbers, at age 73 I just don't tr...

I have finished my hunt for this year in Wisconsin. My brother-in-law called yesterday and told me one of our stands and ladders had been stolen. Chained and locked at top and bottom . Stand had been up for about 30 days.. Had a stand and ladder stolen 2 years ago from the same location. Don't reall...

Fletching Question

Hi all. A question on fletching. How far from the flat end of the bolt should the fletching start.? Is this a critical dimension? I have a set of 6 bolts where the fletching seems to ride-up when they are inserted on the rail. The fletching on these bolts is quite near the end of the bolt. I assume ...

Open Sites Vs Varizone Scope

Wow, some great comments. I guess I personally agree with Wabi. My only wish is for a fibre optic sight with more light gathering ability. I have not tried a scope on my ExoMag but I do enjoy open sights. On other cross bows I have used a red dot scope and was satisfied with it. I like to see more o...

Fibre Optic Sights

Hi all, I shoot an Exomag with the original fibre optic sights. I have used scopes of various types on other crossbows, but I would prefer to continue to use a fibre optic sight on the Excal. Any suggestions on how to up grade to a better fibre sight on the Exomag?/// :o

Thanks Bruno
