Re: i hope you guys hunt better than you play hockey
Don't know much about hockey but shouldn't there have been a third game between the USA and CANADA? The USA won the first game and Canada won the second game so shouldn't there be another game???

I have one very similar to that one but mine has a fold down plastic seat (similar to a boat seat). It is very comfortable and stable. It is very difficult to put up unless you have help. I was able to put it up alone last year but it was quite a struggle. This year I got help from two buddies and i...

Speed Rating??
I know that bows (trad, compound, xbow) are rated by speed. How is that speed measured? Is it immediately after the arrow leaves the bow, 10 feet out, 10 yards out? Just wondering......

Bolt for Phoenix?
I have a Phoenix with Boo string with whiskers and STS system. I have been shooting Firebolts with a 100 grain point with a total weight of 385 grains. I replaced the aluminum insert with brass and the bolts with 100 grain point now weigh 470 grains. That seems a bit heavy. Does anyone have experien...

I appreciate all the replies. I used a drill bit by hand and that did the trick for me. It must have been a ridge of glue that was at the back end of the original aluminum insert. Now to shoot a few with the new inserts...

Brass Insert HELP
I purchased some brass inserts from Wyvern Creations to install on Easton Firebolts. I removed the aluminum insert but the brass inserts will not seat fully. They go in up to the last ring on the insert but will go no further. I tried putting pressure but that didn't work. Am I doing something wrong...

Weight of Arrow Components???
Does anyone have a weight list of the different arrow components for the Firebolts? Vanes, inserts, shafts, etc. and the different options (2" vanes vs 4"; brass vs aluminum inserts, etc.)
Thanks,
cajun

Wraps on front of bolt
Has anyone ever tried putting arrow wraps on the front of a bolt near the broadhead? My bolts fly great out of my xbow but I was thinking about adding wraps so I can see them better in flight. I don't want to refletch. This would only add about 10 grains to the front end so probably would not affect...

My son in law had the same type misfire with a similar model rifle (H&R but not the Ultra model) with that same ammunition but his occured at the shooting range. When we examined the bad bullet, we noticed that the primer was seated a bit further in. The firing pin had dented it but we assumed i...

Actually, it appeared that the arrow went thru the rib cage without actually hitting rib on either side. There was an entrance hole on the left side thru the hide and between the ribs and an exit hole thru the right side between the ribs but not thru the hide. The only exit hole we could find thru t...

First Deer with XBow
Was very fortunate this past week and took my first deer with crossbow. It was a 5 point buck that weighed in at 155lbs live weight. :D I shot him at 25 yards with a nice broadside shot from about 30 feet up in my tree stand. I actually thought that I had missed the deer due to his reaction after th...
