Re: munch mount review and pics

Hey Munch, my daughter was gifted a Vixen... So it looks like I'll be needing one of your mounts sometime soon lol!

Hope all is well.

Re: Muskox Hunt

Sorry to hear of your troubles Bill. My advice is to put this behind you & don't let it impact the amount you hunt. Yes, it's a valuable lesson, ie that we should all double check the rules before hunting. But none of us can fault you for putting your trust in your outfitter. It's someone you sh...

Re: Dammit! I Was Warned!!

Good shooting!

Also a good reminder not to shoot at the same spot... Too easy to wreck bolts with the Excaliburs!

Re: Monday Goose Hunt

Nice! This year we turned our geese into 'ground goose', mixing in 1lb of bacon for every 5 breasted geese. Makes AWESOME burgers, meatloaf & chili!!! Finally found a use for my wife's spam Aid mixer, ha ha!

Re: munch mounts

I don't find it difficult to 'load' an arrow with my munch mount in place. But if I am hunting & broadheads are installed on my bolts, I do have to be careful not to hit the broadhead as I carefully place it through the munch mount (from behind) & push it fully rearward to seat it against th...

Re: mounting a sling to an excalibur

Yes, both my Exomax & my wife's Vixen came with the studs installed to use a sling. (2008 model bows) As for carrying it with the sling & the factory quiver installed under the bow, either to the right or left, I can't comment... I've always had a munch mount installed that places the arrows...

Re: S5=Less noise

Does anyone know how much of a reduction in dB there is with the instalation of the S5 system on a Excalibur bow?

Re: reconyx game cams

I bought two SpyPoint IR6 cameras & put Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries in them. I have pics down to -22C, the coldest day we've had so far. If you don't absolutely need the invisible IR, then there are other cameras that cost a fraction of the Reconyx cameras & work in the cold with th...

Re: Tip post

Take some time to practice shooting 'weak hand'. I harvested my first crossbow deer this year & it came in over my right shoulder at about 10 yards. I'm right handed, so I felt I had no choice but to switch to shoot as a leftie because rotating my body or standing up would have made noise & ...

Re: Lady Hunters

Yup! Gotta agree! I also enjoy the fact that my wife likes to hunt! She started after meeting me & while she has been out several times for small game, she really enjoys deer hunting! So far, she's harvested 4 deer and a bear. All with a firearm, but she does have a Vixen & next year the pla...

Lumenok's for my ExoMax and my wife's Vixen?

Hey Guys & Gals; We'd like to start using Lumenok's on our hunting arrows... Currently, we use the carbon FireBolts that came in our Right Stuff Scope kits & the 100 grain Boltcutter broadheads. We had a look on Lumenok's website & they do sell the FireBolt with the Lumenok installed. Is...
