Mine was realizing I hadn't bought my license until I was on my way out to the blind....turned around and glassed for bucks that night instead.

Wind direction both for where you'll be sitting and your access. That's it for me. I've pretty much given up on everything else. My hunting has steadily improved since.

My dad and I each drew CO 1st rifle elk bull tags. It's in an OTC unit for other seasons, but not our particular season (was a low point draw). Heard it can get crowded but the terrain is pretty easy for me to get around on, which I can't say for most mountain areas. Will be our first western hunt....

Yep, sell the front end for $200 on ebay, and you have a complete chassis for your next Excal build for $50. That's exactly how the Strykro 377 I built for my brother started.

It took me 1.5 hrs + to install, inspect and test 78 Beacon nocks in today on arrows cut at 16.5" and 18"

Out of 250+ Beacons installed thus far not one has failed inspection.

Congrats Peter! Was always great when you would chime in here when you could. Pretty rare to have a manufacturer interact with customers in that way this day and age.

Keep on hunting and check back in here. Can't imagine you'd use anything but an Excalibur now anyway

You placed an order on my site a few weeks ago and I sent you your crank handle orders right away. How are they working for you?

My tactacams have been finicky with cards before. Buy a name brand that has the class 10 logo and you'll be good to go.

My Vortex Crossfire II's do well on the 308.
