Quill Bolts GLUE Can't Get The Field Points In

Two of the Quill bolts that came with my Micro 355 have glue in the holes. How do I remove the glue so I can put the field points in?

Re: Micro 355 Stock Quill/150 gr Field point SPEED?

340 would work, just remember that once you get it sighted in whatever the speed ring says doesn’t mean that’s the actual speed! If you want the actual speed you will need to shoot through a chronograph Yes understood thank you, not going to worry about the speed just accuracy and consistency. :D

Re: Micro 355 Stock Quill/150 gr Field point SPEED?

i do believe excals speed ratings are done with a 350 grain total weight arrow but i could be wrong for the micro's. i am betting accuracy and consistency will be everything you hope for Thank you for the reply. I guess I'll start the sighting in with the 340 fps on the scope dial. I'll likely neve...

Re: SAD Too Week To Draw My Micro 355

Well received the Dr Stirrup 4x4kocker put it together. Adjusted the length of the rope 3 times now. It seems to me the rope is very stretchy. I find the Excalibur rope cocker easier but not easy if you know what I mean lol. Oh I'll still tinker a bit while with the length until I find the sweet spo...

My Micro 355 with a 400gr arrow makes 342fps. But i prefer heavier arrows 425gr and more. But i am just a target shooter. Hunting with a crossbow is not allowed here in germany.
Dominic
Thank you for the reply. I would be happy with 342fps, again it’s about accuracy for me.

Micro 355 Stock Quill/150 gr Field point SPEED?

Ok so my Bulldog target arrived and I’ll be shooting this weekend. First time shooting a crossbow. When I site in what speed should I set the scope to? I know the bow claims up to 355 FPS but with the 250 gr quills and 150 gr points I’m assuming from what I’ve read and seen on the net the speed shou...

Re: SAD Too Week To Draw My Micro 355

Wow I want to really thank all the suggestions. I took the day off to putter around and go fishing. I shortened the Excalibur rope cocker as suggested, tied a knot one inch from the original so the knot takes up an inch so as explained that shortened the rope by 2 inches. First try cocked the bow wo...

Re: FIBERBOARD SHEATHING TARGETS

The targets you're describing are made with tentest. It's a fibreboard type of sheathing that you could buy in natural or black in colour. The black was actually a tar coating on the board and isn't recommennded for using to make targets. Yes I agree the tar would sometimes get on our aluminum arro...

Have you tried shortening you cocking rope by 2"?
You'll have to pull up the string to get the hooks on, but it will really help at the top end. Let you legs do the lifting.
Thanks I’ll try that.

SAD Too Week To Draw My Micro 355

Well I finally put her together this evening, she’s beautiful. My target won’t be here for a bit but I decided to practice cocking and de-cocking the bow(no bolt safety first)! Very disappointed I can get pass the anti dry fire but don’t have the strength to actually load it  Well I guess I k...
