Painting and flight rail considerations

I’ve been thinking about giving my BD380 a paint job, more so because I have a few scratches on the flight rail there is one that has removed about half of an inch of the finish and has exposed the aluminum. I was wondering if this will effect the tolerances and therefore accuracy of the flight rail...

Re: Welcome to license/permit/tag/stamp season.

Only $90 spent this year on a deer and black bear tag all for Ontario. In the new year I have to renew almost everything

I really enjoyed it, just getting into traditional archery this year it was very relevant. For me and my Bulldog 380 and thin skinned game in eastern Ontario I really just throw on a 150gr Broadhead and call it a day. For my longbow it gave me quite a bit to think about.

Changing limbs... Just one or needs to be a pair?

Hey Fella's Ive been shooting arrows monthly through my Matrix BD 380 for a couple years now and its been problem free. I ordered a set of replacement limbs instead of a backup bow for some simplicity. If I have a limb failure sometime in the future, do I need to replace both limbs or can I just rep...

Re: Moon nocks

I’ve been thinking about using moon nocks also, I have 12 Bloodsport Witnesses I’ve been waiting to install flat nocks in. I’m located in Ontario and with all the shops closed I just don’t want to pay shipping considering it costs as much as the knocks themselves.

I had never chrono’d my BD380 and had always assumed it would shoot like the original Matrix 380 around the 360fps mark. Good to know it’s hitting around 380fps with a 400gr arrow.
I've thought the same also. I haven't chrono'd and expected it to be around the 360fps mark. Great to know,

What kind of speed are you getting with 700gr arrows?

Does the new axe and TD shows use matrix limbs?

Just a question about compatibility for my BD 380. Does Excalibur’s use the same limbs as the matrix lineup?

18 inch diablos with 150gr Magnus stingers (4 blades)

I have some 125gr black hornets on the way, I’m hoping the poi is the same as my stingers.

Not sure on the Zwickey, I would call and ask them.
Now here are some that I know work, Steelforce, Bishop, Grizzly Stik & Mangus broad heads.
I love me some Magnus stingers, and its actually what I hunt with. The zwickeys will be for fun

Anyone play with Zwickey two blades?

I've been wanting to try out some heavy traditional broad heads with my BD380. I am a little concerned about how they are going to fly, coming out of a crossbow at higher speeds then what they have been designed for. Does anyone have experience with Zwickey or other traditional two blade broad heads?

Re: Bulldog 380

My grandson came over today to do some shooting with me. He shoots vertical bows and he can easily cock my BD380. I appreciate him coming over and cocking my bow for me! Well the 18” Tactical Tapps weighing 382gn was shooting exactly 380fps. The 18” Bloodsport Witness weighing 372gn was shooting 38...
