Zero trouble from the Excaliburs I have. I fell in the dark in the swamp over a cyprus knee. Threw the xbow 10 feet. Went back and shot it to make sure it was on. The arrows touched. What more can you ask for in a piece of gear? I have a BIG bruise on my inner thigh from that knee I fell on. Another...

The world did not end..............

I got my first with the xbow Sat night. A nice doe came along and was sort of on alert but at 15 yds nothing is that fast. I was in the ground blind and took her through one of the small observation windows - something you could not have done with a compound. She dropped on the spot and didn't go 3 ...

The peta HQ is about 10 minutes from my house. I'm thinking about pulling in the lot with camo and xbow and getting someone to snap my pic with a nice deer using their building as a backdrop. You think they'll post it on their web site?

http://members.cox.net/4seasons/Sika.jpg I hunted the lower part in VA for many years. A new biologist took over the refuge and decided that sika needed to go. They're a non-native species and they displace the whitetail - so they say. My thoughts are even with the sika all but gone the WT deer have...

Where do you find parts like that? I'm in VA and with xbows newly legal this year there are very few other than new ones around.

Vixen questions

I've read the posts on the older Vixens and the riser. What can I do to increase the power stroke on it? Or will I be just as well cutting bolts to 18"?
Trying to get a little more speed out of it. The one I bought has the disipator bars on it but a cast riser.

Thanks.

Add another one to the list in VA.

My hunting buddy wanted to try my Barnett Xbow when I told him I was going to sell it. I got the phone call shortly after that. "When do we leave - lets go hunting"! He's had a vision problem that makes it hard to see pins at low light so he's wounded and been unsure of shooting. He went t...

I'm food plot master at the hunt club I'm in. Went to a plot and there was 15 or so young birds in it. I rode the ATV right up to them and they looked at me. I started yelling at them to get out of my plot! LOL They just walked away real slow clucking. I wonder if they'll be any smarter next weekend...
