Haven't had much chance to practice for awhile with all the property repair work etc, but managed a few shots yesterday (just 15 arrows ) and after a poor first few, was soon on target. This was my third "three arrow" group....not bad eh? http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b253/grizzled47/I...

Hi ecoaster,
I am now living in NB, but forgot to change my profile....done it now!
Thanks for the info re the course. It just gets harder as you get older! I'll just take my time and listen to all they tell us.

Thanks for the confidence booster TYE. It does seem like common sense in the books, so maybe I'll be ok!? It does seem like a lot of work just to be able to shoot and hunt though eh? Still, I suppose there have to be rules, and safety is very very important, so I don't mind having to do the c...

bow rack for compound vert
Hi Garyl, You are right. Ours is just like that. In fact we have two of the bedrooms knocked into one, making a nice big master bedroom. We love the place. There's plenty of forest all around us, and I know there are plenty of deer around. I will figure something out for the vert. It's great hearing...

Hi guys! I want to hang a compound vert bow on the wall in our living room. Have just the spot, but no idea how to do it!! Would like to hang it at an angle rather than horizontal...if you know what I mean, and maybe include a few arrows. It will really catch the eye in the place I have chosen for i...

Well thanks for that TYE. I'm sure we would have had fun shooting. It is about having fun, and I'm certainly enjoying myself. I was talking to a local today, and he told me there are loads of deer around here where we are living. It appears that the hunt was cancelled for a good number of years to i...

The pink and white stuff?? Well, the main body of the target is a big box stuffed full of fibre glass insulation. But that didn't really stop my arrows, and they kept passing right through and into the shed side!! So then I bought a sheet of polystyrene insulation and taped Four layers of this on th...
