Re: String jig designs

Boo, or anyone else who has made one of these jigs, can you please post the size and gauge of the steel tubing that should be used in the second design?
Thanks for your help.

Help locating part for older Exocet(165)

Old Exocet starting to show signs of age. I had the misfortune of having the plastic bracket that the quiver slides onto come right off the screws that hold it in place. Tried contacting Excal and they were quick to send out a new plastic mount. Unfortunately they are not compatible with my old quiv...

Thanks for the replies Boo and Wabi, Will try to keep string just above 1 1/8" brace height as you mentioned. Boo...I think you may have mistaken my situation with Strikenmike. Unfortunately I don't have a STS on my bow. Wish I could. I took a look at the possibility, but the way the riser was ...

Just to follow up on my initial question, Seeing as my older exocet does not have the two lines(string location markers?) on the rail, can anyone tell me what distance they both are from the riser. Does anyone think that I should concern myself with making the two indicators(possibly on the side of ...

string stretch

I recently put a new factory dacron string on my xbow and it keeps stretching even after a couple of adjustments. Is there a point where you can be putting too many twists in the string?. I must be around 8 twists at this point. Thanks

Older Exocet Info Required.

Does anyone know what kind of speed I might be getting from my older
Exocet(1994?)? I am using a factory Dacron string. Want to purchase
a scope(any input would be appreciated) and believe I need it for sighting purposes. Thanks

Another Question(s)(s)(s)(s)...and many more to come

Hi Everyone I found a small burr (which I thought was a hardened piece of wax) on the rail approx 1/2 " from the riser. If I run my nail over top, it definitely gets snagged on it. Do I need to be concerned about it and the wear it will have on the string?. Will the wax help in any way?. Do I n...
