Hey Don:
The world didn't end today. It must have been because of your birth day!
Remember you are really only one day older!
Enjoy the day and the thought of a black matrix with an anti dry-fire
mechanism!
Peace and Best Wishes

Re: alum arrows
I use 2216 Easton superslams tipped with 150 grain boltcutters, and fletched with the 2010 blazer vanes. They weigh around 480 grains in total. My fletching is 4 degree offset at present but I may change to the helical. There is a luminock for the 2216 shaft which I used this year to harvest a yearl...

Last Manitoulin Deer Hunt
What will probably be my last deer hunt on Manitoulin Island ended early on opening day of bow season. I shot a yearling buck at 8.30 a.m. filling my one and only tag for this year. I say last deer hunt because I will be moving to Vancouver, British Columbia early in January of 2013. Manitoulin has ...

Hey Boo:
I like those Tasco cameras too. In fact, I bought two at your recommendation.
They last a long time on 4 Double A's!!

Have been praying along with the others for your full recovery. Glad to hear you
are home and on the mend. Let's hope it was just a TIA.

I'm on to my second 18 in 1. The first one lasted 5 years. In fact, we still use
it a little shooting at the corners. Well worth the money IMHA.

Re: Accuracy MY Phoenix Questions
Spintest your arrows if you haven't done so already. Look for a wobble at
the junction of the insert and the broadhead. Some can do this in the palm of their hand and feel the vibration; others spin on a table top and observe,
but best of all is a spin tester like the one Pineridge makes.

Re: Where do we draw the line?
I never got to hunt deer when I was a youngster. Shot my first deer in my fifties.
I wonder about the starting age. The apprenticeship program begins at 12 here
in Ontario. I think that's about right for a starting point.

Re: Blazers that wont glue.
With the older blazers I used to rough up the base with a fine sandpaper pad then wipe them clean with 99 % isopropl alcohol. Keeping the jig free of glue build up is important as noted. Gorilla glue with the blue top has worked well. I would also have to say that the 2010 version of the vane, the o...
