mike.........if you neaver welded aluminum..i would suggest you dont try it out on your boat.. you will end up burning all kinds of new holes into it.. if its the main front seam..i would grind out all the fibre glass that was used to fix it before,then starting of with a good clean and dry surface,...

thanks for the tips all ..least now when i go out looking for a bow for the kids,i can toss a brand name or two around ,and not look as dumb as i really am on bows ..

had my grandsons out this past weekend playing with my exomax
