I hunt north of Brockville and usually We have 3-4 hanging between the 4 of us but this year we only got a doe on the thursday of the rifle hunt. I did get another doe in early october but I have also noticed the scapes and rubs have diminished quite alot from previous years. I do know of other gang...

My apologies for giving out the wrong information. I was told the info by the local gunsmith and by the Traditions company they sent me an email Hi Darryl. The Pursuit is pressure-tested byt he European Proofing House in Spain. It has to follow certain specific guidelines in order for us to advertis...

Just a quick note on Triple 7, it is 15% more potent then pyrodex so if your muzzleloader states you can use 150 grains of pyrodex or equivalent powder, You should only be using 130 grains of triple 7.

I would have to agree that the powerbelts are quite a hassle free and accurate bullet for my Traditions pursuit pro. I use the 245grain powerbelts with 100grains of triple 7, I am getting a 3 inch group or less at 100 yards. I haven't shot it any further so I don't know what the groups would be like...

I use a corn feed bag (Synthetic burlap) and stuff it full of plastic grocery bags then I squish it down and wrap it with Duct tape. These targets work great with feild points but broadheads sail through it. BTW I use an exomag.

I was watching the eclipse last night and you could have sat in a stand and smacked a deer at 40 yards at 10:00pm. It was so light out. I would never take that chance but the big fella's would be out by that time wouldn't they!!!

Coleman Lanterns for tracking blood

Quick question people, I have heard that a coleman lantern when used for tracking a deer at night will will turn the blood flourescent. If so does it matter if the lantern uses propane or campfuel?

Thanks

I would like to add something to my post above. I have also seen deer hit with a good shot drop like a sack of rocks. There is a chance that they will run far but not always.

Guest your comment " Having a great hit means not having to track so much" is innacurate. I have seen a deer hit with bow's and rifles that have went long distances 100-300yards the best example of this was when my buddy nailed a 10 point with a 30-30 at 30 yards tore half of the heart, th...

Smack down with the E-mag

Well I dumped a 160lbs doe on Sunday evening with the Exomag, 15 yards out of my tree stand. Complete pass through, entered one lung and split the liver almost in half. Not much of a blood trail but dropped 60-70 yards away. You got to love that rush ... man my heart was just pounding. This is my 13...

Brace Height for the vixen

I just put the string back on my Dad's vixen and noticed that there was no mark for the proper brace height. My exomag has a mark and I was going to measure it and use that measurment for the vixen. What do you guys think?

I have always washed the deer out with water. I thought that if there was any contamination from the stomach contents, bowels or bladder, that this would be more sanitary. Is there anymore info on the hazards of washing a deer cavity out with water, Could someone please post it? I also keep the hide...
