Re: TREE STAND PLANS
Wow this is an old thread! I cant even remember the last time I built a deck! Those were the days, go to work, come home and go in the bush. Good times.

Re: Alberta Hunters
Oh yea, hear ya there about animals all over! I'm in a big rig most of the time...haven't hit one yet, but they do keep you on your toes! Never worked up by Fort A yet, usually head south off 43 into the bush.

I am up in the north west corner these days. Left the crossbow back at home though - cant use it during archery season! Lots of people very much against them. Tons of animals up here though!

Re: vertical bow guys hating on crossbows
The "haters", once you strip away the bias and their arguments, are just selfish and don't want additional people in the woods hunting. If there are, then someone may shoot "their" deer. I think you hit the reason right there pretty well! That and they want to feel better or mor...

Re: vertical bow guys hating on crossbows
I am out in Alberta right now, and it is the same thing out here - "That's not a bow, it is a rifle. I am glad they dont let crossbows in the archery season or else people who dont practice and don't care would be out there injuring animals." It kinda gets anoying. I don't bother refuting ...

Where Ontario falls in the Deer Record books
Deer and Deer hunting sent this through by email, has some interesting reading. Look at all of the states we have come in ahead of in the last couple of years! "Ontario went from a single entry to a whopping 41-a 4,000 percent gain!" B&C Trophy Whitetail Production, 2005-2010 (Typical ...

BIG BONE HEAD IN THE BONEYARD!
. These pictures are from November 12, a little old, but I was not able to post them before this. This was a never before seen visitor to the cemetery. I went back the next day and he was gone . :( To see him was memorable though. Started taking pictures of the small 8 (have not seen the big 8 in a ...

. Vix - WRAP THE ANTLERS TO KEEP THE COLOUR! I have done 6 euro mounts ranging in intensity from the bucket of water to just putting them on an ant hill, and one thing I have learned was if you want to keep the nice brown colour of the rack you have to wrap it or the bone bleaches - even if not in t...

Re: 2 Days of our Controlled hunt im WMU 80 and no pic's !
The one buck died on an island and I spent a couple hours , hunched over in the remains of an old sailboat , using a paddle made of a hockey stick with a board nailed too it ... paddling against the current to recover the deer which included two slip off's and re-tie's while balancing in this unsta...
