Re: It is time

Good luck Papabear! One week to go for us. We went out turkey chasing Friday and Saturday. Seems good to be out in the woods for something other than gathering firewood.
Take care

Re: Hunting Plans 2022

We plan on hunting our tiny orchard up back. We reclaimed this area from a grown up mess a few years back and this year the apple trees have produced a good pile of apples. I also planned some beets, radishes, turnips and random garden vegetables. We have a couple deer using it regularly and the tur...

Re: OT: Peta - Things You Can't Make Up

Ahhh yes. Toxic masculinity. Very common concept. Usually discarded when there is a jar that cannot be opened, or a sink drain that has become clogged. If the love should stop flowing in your house due to "toxic masculinity" maybe get some ultra-fem dude with a man bun who needn't lift the...

Re: Hunting Blunders. Asking for a friend.

Didn’t remember I had forgotten my cut skipjack catfish bait until I was in the boat about 5 miles upriver. Went deer hunting and all went well after a little over 2 mile walk in the dark. Got up the tree in my climbing deer stand then found that my quiver and arrows were missing. Climbed down and ...

Re: Heads up - Buy your arrows in 2022 for 2023

Coming on the heels of the pandemic, the inflation and price hikes have been like a 1-2 punch. That's the way life is sometimes I suppose. Probably best just to grin and bear it. Plenty to grin about with opening day fast approaching. :D

Re: Heads up - Buy your arrows in 2022 for 2023

It's all going up! Our grain price has almost doubled. 22-24 bucks a bag for chicken feed! Last week I needed three items, boots, 18-1 target, and a starter for my truck. Four years ago i would have purchased all three items without a second thought. Instead I rebuilt my starter, patched my boots, a...

It's that feeling you get when you go get "Your next Rifle" out of the closet and your "check Ravin" light is on...again!

Ravins have always looked like complicated contraptions to me. So many things can cause problems with a complex bow like that. This is one of the reasons I only own simple Excals.
It'll only get worse! I heard the 2023 models are gonna have a pop up timer like a Butter Ball turkey!😂🤣😂🤣
