Seems I'm the odd man out here.........I NEVER skin my deer the day it is shot! A huge deer in these parts will go 200 field dressed, and most are in the 80 to 120 pound range.......as soon as possible after field dressing, I stuff the cavity full of ice and keep it that way.......the deer cools out...

Wabi My dad was hunting with me that evening and I had to meet him before I could field dress the doe.......by that time, it was dark and I had to gut her in the headlights, so I didn't get to see all the damage to the vitals.......however, I'm sure I got more than just one lung because she didn't g...

This could go back and forth until Nov........question you have to ask yourself.......is Kerry a better man for the job than Bush??? Kerry has voted against gun owners at every opportunity.....that alone is enough for me to despise him.......but, leaving the gun issue aside......there is no way I wo...

BUSH'S NATIONAL GUARD YEARS (Byron York) The Hill ^ | Sept. 08, 2004 | Byron York Please keep this article and forward to those who have been taken in by the media's spin on Bush's service in the National Guard. Even I, a loyal supporter of the President, was led to believe that he just showed up fo...

Shakky I don't believe I compared the two........I simply placed them both in the catagory of murderous dictators........if Sadam was still in power, he would still be killing people...... Should the US have more troops in Afganistan and fewer in Iraq??? I don't know the answer to that question, and...

Carl Every person in the military faces a chance of death, it's part of the job they sign on for........they weren't drafted, they volunteered.......I appreciate the sacrifice your friend made and I truly wish it had never happened......I hate it that anyone has to die for their country! When I see ...

Couple of years ago I shot a doe that was 4 feet from the base of the tree I was in......I put the verticle crosshair on her spine and put one through her.......I missed the spine by an inch or two and the arrow exited her sternum.......she ran about 25 yards and fell over. It's not my first choice ...

Can you trim the rear of the vanes enough to get clearance?

I'm with ComfyBear.......I sure wouldn't risk a dryfire over $25 worth of vanes!

My wife's aunt gave her this crossbow several years ago.....I guess the aunt used the crossbow when she was younger? I believe it is a Powermaster? I have shot it, and the accuracy is surprisingly good, but I have been told these aluminum prod bows are unsafe due to the possibility of catastrophic f...
