Thanks all! Steaks and sausage- mouth's a watering! Not a ground blind this time though I did get one last year for when the grandbabies are ready to start! Just hunkered down in front of a tree. Older I get, the less I like climbing trees!

Yes- I didn't think it would be a problem that up close and personal, but I like the low shot. Had to anyway to get under a branch a couple of feet in front of me. Also had a doe duck under one last year so don't want to take a chance when a heart shot suits me real fine!

scope

Am a rank amateur w/ crossbows, but the 1st thing I did when I got it was order a scope mount. These old eyes appreciate the optics on my muzzleloader and my shotgun as well.

string a vixen

OK- I know I'm being a pain where a pill can't reach, but...Tried using the included cocking aid. Put the hooks on the string on each side of the riser, pulled it back and managed to catch the cocking string but not the crossbow string??!! how DOES this gadget work???

Two shots and my string had already stretch out some though. Am considering fast flight string...but how do...

black vixen

Won the bid and she is on the way! May have paid too much?? but after reading the posts here, just had to have one! Is there a significance/ difference (other than the obvious) between the black and current vixens? I have 2219s- are they too heavy? Thanks, DWT
