Went out and sat a make shift ground blind out of cedar rails. There is a corn field about 75yds down the trail in the field. About 6:30 I heard deer comming directly in front of me and to the right. First a small doe came out about 45yds and wandered in another few. Big doe came in right behind her...

Getting cold overnight with the high pressure system moving in (sw ontario). Perfect time for the deer to be moving. I should be setup and waiting for my deer by 630am. Off all week.

Never had luck with a doe decoy before. Also never had a doe come up to any of the decoys before. I did however have a cheap delta foam deer for target shooting that I brought out and used as a decoy. I only used 1 antler and I had a few bucks come out of no-where to check it out. If that deer is still alive I wouldnt be surprised if its a non-lethal hit. You did right by not pushing him any further again.
