Re: S5 question

I have an Exocet with the factory string and I have 3/16 to 1/4 inch between the string and bumper. There is no twist in the string. I have only shot it about 40-50 times over a couple of years. Perhaps it is still stretching?

S5 doesn't fit

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem but my S5 doesn't seem to fit. It is just a little off, enough so i can't start the thread. It will thread fine on it's own.
Maybe I can enlarge the hole in the riser? It is a 2006 Exocet bow-that's when I purchased it.

Re: New "S5" String Shock Sound Suppression System

I have an Exocet 200 that I think is a 2005 model but I'm not sure. I'm sure this has been covered somewhere before but I was wondering how I can tell for sure that I have the right model that will work with the S5?

Ok thanks- One other question I have about the pads comes from a previous message about dissipator bar installation-this was the response- "you should have justremoved the pads, it's a lot easier! You tighten the main screws as tight as they will go, but the two on the recoil plates are just ti...

Dissipator bar pad removal

Hi

I just got an Exocet and after the season I'm planning on removing the string. It looks like the dissipator pads need to be removed. I was wondering if all the pads need to be removed (on the end and in the middle of each bar)?

Thanks for all the replies they have helped alot. The difference I find between my EXOCET 175 and my PARADOX (175), is the draw length. Exocet is 15 or so, while the paradox in 131/2. Doxnut I take it these are both the same poundage -does that mean you don't notice much of a difference between the ...

Cocking of recurve versus compound crossbow

I'm new to the forum and crossbows. I wanted to start archery hunting again but due to a permanent shoulder injury my Dr. suggested crossbows. I was wondering if one type of crossbow is much harder to cock than the other (recurve versus compound)? Since I can't pull a compound bow back do I have a c...
