I have used aluminum arrows for 6 years, I loose them before the 1200 mark.
The nice thing is they don't splinter, just bend. Have not had problems bending while target shooting just pull the arrow from close to the target not from the end of the arrow.

Re: Tree Stand Or Ground Blind
Can't beet the view from a tree stand but prefer the ground. Ground blinds in the rain other than that I don't like being enclosed. Usually my chair and natural cover, play the wind that's all that maters. At 60 yard 15' up your are in the deer's line of sight. In tree stands I tend to move to much ...

Re: Results of Matrix 355 Tests Today
Great reviews with different arrow weights! I shoot 433gr. out of my 175#. It will be interesting to see the 355 bow out to 50 yards.

Re: Bitzen fletcher and Blazer?
I use the blitz for 2" blazers. What is the difference between a offset and a helix?
Does the top dial do the offset and the bottom helix?

well I can pay 50 odd USD for 3 arrows or I can pay 3 to 4 USD each for 30, with my specs made to order, do the math, and if the arrows shoot the same as I think they will then id be stupid not too...[/quote]

There a few guys on the forum that make arrows.

Re: A good home made target
The best homemade target is a old coffee bean burlap sack stuffed full and tight of old grocery bags ( my parents saved them and so did I). I can shoot at 10 yards in my basement. The arrow only goes in maybe 4-5". It gets a bit heavy to drag out target shooting so I made one and tied off the s...

Filling down nocks I stay away from, one of those things don't like to mess with. If it's not perfect could miss fire.

Re: matrix 380 arrows not recommended to take 20"
18" maybe to increase speed and so the arrow does not stick out past the stirrup. My buddy shot 22" out of his pheonix and they worked great. You won't make the mistake of undocking your bow with the arrow in it and speed will be less. Or make the arrows yourself and become an arrow dealer...

Re: g5 montec's 125 ss
When I switched to 125 from 100g, I used weight spacers by After Shock. They add 25g to my 100g heads for small game or turkey. They are ones made for crossbow arrows.
