free hand accuracy
I'm not as experienced as some of you obviously are with a crossbow but with my Exomax (got it for Christmas last year) I can freehand easily within a handspan (thumb to little finger spread out). That's still a kill zone but I don't really want to shoot that far nor do I really want to shoot freeha...

Tree Stand Brackets
Guys I saw some metal brackets in a picture that you use to build tree stands but don't know where to get them. You bolt in a treated 4 x 4 in them at an angle for the 4 legs and then you bolt in a 2 x 6 (maybe it was a 2 x 4) at the top for your platform of your tree house. Sorry my description is ...

sighting in
For the triangles, I use the top of the triangle as my point of aim and that seems to work fine for me. Hope this helps.

Accuracy
For what it's worth, I shoot free hand at 50 yards with my Exomax and can keep my arrows normally within a 9" circle from thumb to little finger. Not that I want to shoot that far but I do practice that far and it consistently puts them where you aim. I'm happy with mine too. Now I am consideri...

Digger, just curious but if you knew when you were getting your Excalibur that you'd be putting a wooden stock on it, can you just order it without the stock? I've already bought my Exomax with it but just thinking out loud. In case I get another in the future (yeah, I know....who needs another bow ...

You're probably right. That 225lbs is an awful lot for the trigger to hold back and I guess I'll just have to get use to it. It's growing on me as I shoot it more. I'll forget about trying to adjust it. Thx again for all the ideas and comments. I'm going to south Alabama for the last week of this mo...

Alabama hunting rules?
Guys, am going to south Alabama to hunt the last week of this month (when the season closes) and someone on this site mentioned that scopes on crossbows are illegal in Alabama. Is is true? I hope not because I've just gotten the Varizone scope mounted and really like it. Thanks.

Accuracy....it's a short range rifle!
Guys, just got my Exomax Christmas day and have sighted in the Varizone scope as per the instructions with the field points that come provided with the "Right Stuff" package carbon arrows. Dang, this thing is accurate! I have the target called "The Block" and at 30 yards free han...
