Made in Taiwan

I was at Wal Mart in the wee hours of the morning. I noticed Team RealTree has their own line of broadheads. They were very inexpensive and made in Taiwan! What is this world coming to? All the fine, American-made broadheads they they put their name on this? I know North American products are a litt...

Thanks, Brother! Kicked off is in just over two weeks! I'm starting off with a gator hunt, too. It just doesn't get any better!

Re: Strictly Horizontal!

See4miles: I hear you loud and clear!!! My Hoyt has a drop-a-way rest, I use carbon arrows, sight pins and 80% let-off, etc. I was one of the "grumblers". I started shooting a Ben Pearson recurve, my first compound was a Pearson Bushmater which came about when the Bear Whitetail 2 did. Me ...

Re: Strictly Horizontal!

They tried here in GA,(ignorrantly, myself included) but failed to do so. Speaking of hunting with CB's I am hunting gators with mine in a few weeks. Anyone here try the STS on their Excalibur? I'm thinking of trying it to see what kind of noise reduction I get.

2010 Georgia Alligator Hunt

I finally drew another tag! The first tag I drew I shot a seven-footer on Lake Seminole in zone 2. I drew for zone 8 with two friends and we'll be on the Savannah River in a few weeks. We're going to fill all three tags with my Exomag outfitted with a Muzzy Gator Getter kit. Will post pics and anoth...

Re: shoot-through mesh

There's a test that was conducted and featured in the latest issue of Bow & Arrow hunting magazine. Mostly covered expandables, though. I have shot through mess a few times with Muzzy, Phantom, and Magnus Stingers with excellent results.

Just yard test it on your target.

Re: Florida Hog Hunting

I've taken several boar down around that area. Take a camera, it's a great place to take photos. It's like hunting in a different country. Lake Okeechobee is be far my favorite region in which to hunt hogs!

SCI does, but I was just looking at ideas to grow the discipline. I think B & C is non-specific when it comes to the tool used, too.

Boone & Crockett, Pope & Young, Miller & Troubri

With the other great conservation groups dedicated to wildlife conservation, ethical hunting, and records keeping in their respective disciplines; it maybe be time to consider our own organization. Perhaps established in conjunction with an existing crossbow organization. It could be helpful in prom...

S30V is the finest cutlery grade steel I know of. It holds an edge 45% longer that 420HC and is easy to sharpen. Cabelas has both Buck and Gerber hunting knives featuring this steel, and they're relatively inexpensive.

Cabela's offers and Alaskan Guide Series Buck 110 folder in S30V, too.
