Ottawa Archery..

I called there today, and...

"We're sorry, Ottawa archery is now closed - forever" :?

So much for getting a quote on a summit viper! I always hate to hear about local shops shutting down....it can't be easy these days to compete with big guns.

Tye, I'm pretty sure that he genuinely didn't know, and was asking to be informed.. we should always make sure we're here to help our 'brothers' and our cause, it's the best way to foster growth and build respect for our sport. I agree with you on distances, with my Exocet, 30 yards or under....

 Greywolf, those are fantastic looking stands! Wow, nice work! I love the finishing touches, they really give them a polished look. I'm sure they'll be lucky for you. Sure wouldn't mind getting a detailed look at your plans and materials, if you wouldn't mind PMing them to me. (They'll be nic...

I would have to agree with you. I caught a TV special on it with my father, and we both said what an incredible man/journey. I'll have to read those diaries. He had some excellent video footage. The cabin he built was incredible.

Whoa, you weren't kidding!! Glad I took your advice and took the dissipator bars/pads off......... I consider myself pretty good at keeping my gear clean and dry. Well, I guess hunting in until the end of December left its mark. I took all the bolts out and cleaned them, and used a good bit of WD40....

Article

Great article Bruce, good exposure to the sport, and should help to dispell some of the myths out there. Carleton Place/Lanark is running wild with deer! Good for people to know they're better in the freezer than in front of a vehicle or dead in a ditch. Good PR work!

Cheers.

Winter Storage Question

Quick quesiton guys. I remove my string, but was wondering about the dissipator bars/pads? Is the pressure from the limbs resting on them going to cause them any wear. Any recommendations? Leave 'em or take 'em off?

Thanks!

Summit Viper

Thanks for the info guys (especially the comments on its performance, that's great.) There's a couple on Ebay, not a bad price, $240.00 CDN. I'm making some inquiries about the shipping costs... From what I can tell this is one of the best climbers on the market. Do I really have to wait until fall?...

Just got the exocet 2 seasons ago, and already love it hands down over the .308. Hooked.

Price..

Good Day,

The website says it's $106.95, if it was $60.00 + S/H, I'd be all over that one like a bad rash.

I checked out the specials page and couldn't find it there...

Thanks.

The Loss of A Dog

I can't imagine - Takoda is my first dog, and truly my best friend - only a year and half, and so many memories. You've got a lifetime of them - hopefully they can help you through the down times. Remember, he's waiting for you on the other side. So sorry my friend.

Take care.
