Re: Canadian Grizzlies

There is no problem with hunting Grizzly bears in BC if the current allocations are met. The grizzly bear population is currently not only stable but is actually growing. That article - and several similar ones - are nothing but anti-hunting propaganda by the same people who would outlaw all hunting...

Check the price and if it seems good go for it. BTW, As for the range-finder ................ It may...

I just want to point out one downside to freezing fresh meat. Shortly after death the carcass goes through rigor mortise. During the first stage of rigor the muscle fibres contract in length and stiffen. Hanging an animal at cool - but not freezing - temperatures allows the fibres to relax as well a...

Get the moose or bear skinned out ASAP. Split or quarter the animal and let to hang in a cool dry spot until chilled throughout. Once chilled it can stand a few travel days as long as it it not wrapped in plastic or a tarp. If the weather is too warm to hang quarters - say above 5-10 C - bone the an...

For all you bear hunters; do you eat the meat or do you kill for the thrill and for the trophy. I don't believe in trophy hunting, I think if you are going to kill something you should eat it. Just my opinion. No, unlike Black bear Grizzly meat is usually not eaten. The hides must be taken by law a...

So far I am really impressed with these things. :) While Globalstar's sat-phone service sucks big time (how's that for an understatement?? ;) ) these little tracking and simple messaging units work like a hot damn! Anyone who gets one should also "splurge" and activate them with the tracki...

Yes always ship USPS as UPS and FedEx charge obscene "brokerage fees" to Canadians.

Declare the package and value honestly and all the buyer will have to pay is a small customs charge and sales tax.
