Expandables for Excal?

My favorite Muzzys no longer fly well from my Exocet 200. I just tried the MX3 and still erratic flight. I have some Wasp Jakhammers but I wasn't impressed when I killed a turkey with them (1 blade broken and the other 2 bent). I don't know how they will perform on a shoulder hit although a friend h...

Re: Nikon Bolt XR

I bought one this as soon as it became available. I had the Varizone but really dislike the "arrowheads" for aiming points. I am very impressed with the Nikon. I don't have a chronograph so I didn't use their program. I just sighted in the main crosshair for 20yds and went from there. The ...

Re: turkey vest for deer huntin??

I bought a Primos rifle hunting vest (they also make a archery vest) and it's a great piece of gear. I carry all my essentials in it so I can just grab it and go. TC

Re: Slate Turkey Call Recommendations?

Thanks for the replies. I have a bunch of them in glass, aluminum and who knows what else but I just don't have a good slate. I do have a Cody glass call which is very sweet but I'll check out all your recomendations. TC

Re: turkey tail

What you may have to do is cut the feathers off as close to the base as possible and fan them out and secure them with body filler. You still be able to get right down to the quills but it will be a lot of work. TC

Re: H and R ultra slug hunter

I had one in 12ga for about 10 years. I sold it a couple of years ago and sometimes wish I hadn't. With Win. Partition Golds I could get 5-6" groups at 200yds. I'm sure Triggers and Bows in Burford carries them and if not try Freds in Delhi, Elis in Simcoe or Shooters Choice in Kitchener and Go...

Re: Question for anyone that owns Treelounge tree stands

Glad your friend wasn't hurt, one reason I always wear a harness when using my climber. I had a Tree Lounge for about 5 years and never had a problem with it. If it wasn't for the weight factor I'd still have it. TC

Re: One Broadhead for all bows

I have used Muzzy 100gr 3 blades with 3 different compounds, a recurve and now my Exocet 200. The only change I had to make was installing brass inserts on my Gold Tip bolts. For unknown reasons I have been able to shoot field tips and broadheads out of all 3 styles of bow without changing my sights...

Good job Munch. When your ready to fletch your arrows let me know and I'll chop the feathers for you. I haven't looked into getting the shield style for my chopper but I will. If you need a few more feathers to complete the set I've got some  TC

Re: 100 or 125 Grain Mech Broadheads for Turkey?

When I used my compound bow I shot my regular Muzzy 3blade 100gr for turkey (with the addition of a Zwickey Scorpio). When I got my Exocet200 I tried the Wasp Jakhammers with excellant results (also with the Scorpio). As was mentioned with another head it was a one-shot deal as two of the blades wer...

Re: Trigger Improvement

I am fortunate in that I don't live to far from the Excalibur factory. When I picked up my Exocet 200 I found the trigger was closer to 7lb rather than the advertised 3lb. I called up the factory and they had me take it in. After about 6 weeks I picked up the bow and the trigger pull was fastly impr...

Or watch the sales at Bass Pro I got a $140 pair of rubber boots delivered for $90.

That would be Als Shoes Dereck. They do have a good variety. TC

Re: O/T Hunting Boots

I have a pair of Irish Setter boots that i am very happy with. I've had them for 5 or 6 years and they are still comfortable and waterproof. I bought mine at an Als Shoes store. I'm not sure if there is one in London, there's one in Brantford. TC

Re: Best Crossbow Target to buy

I have a Yellowjacket (made by Morrel I believe) and it has served it's pupose well. i've had it for about 5 years now and broadheads will potrude from the opposite side. It still stops field points well. It is a combination of solid foam and layering. I bought it for $50.00 from Bass Pro in Vaughn ...
